The second bunch of acts for Carrickmacross Arts Festival 2017 have been announced. We are delighted to welcome Otherkin, Darling, Hvmmingbyrd, Yonen, Ines Khai and Bondicott to the music line-up. Reuben, Michael Downey, Barry Mack & Lorcan McGrane have been added to the Comedy stage and the visual arts area sees the additions of Mateusz Lubecki, Hattie Billinham, Hannah Martin, Kelly O’Connor and Phill Foley.

Carrickmacross Arts Festival The Magic Numbers, We Cut Corners, Otherkin, Heroes in Hiding, Darling

Double Platinum, Mercury Nominated, Pop Rock Londoners, The Magic Numbers will be making their way to county Monaghan this August and will be joined by RTE Choice Music Prize 2017 Nominees We Cut Corners, RTE Choice song of the year nominees Heroes in Hiding and Guns n’ Roses’ Slane support act Otherkin. The hilarious genius behind RTE’s The Savage Eye, Mr. David McSavage is also on the bill and joining him on the Comedy stage is RTE Junior’s Reuben, award-winning stand up and sketch comedian Lisa Casey and Monaghan’s finest funny men Michael Downey, Barry Mack and Lorcan McGrane.

The line-up boasts a healthy array of rising musical talent from all over Ireland too with the likes of Darling, Hvmmingbyrd, Yonen, TPM, Accidents in the Workplace, Grace Wilde, Nix Moon, Ines Khai, Bondicott and We, The Oceanographers making their way to the sunny south Monaghan Drumlins this Summer.

The first acts have also been announced for the Visual Arts area and include Mateusz Lubecki, Hattie Billinham, Hannah Martin, Kelly O’Connor and Phill Foley.

Affectionately known as Ireland’s Biggest Small Festival, Carrickmacross Arts Festival has previously played host to the likes of Declan O’Rourke, Delorentos, DeDannan, Ham Sandwich, John Spillane, Kila, The Frank and Walters and Wallis Bird in recent years and has received nominations for “Best Small Festival” at the European Festival Awards and “Best Overseas Festival” at the UK Festival Awards.

The four day unique boutique festival runs from August 10th to 13th and includes original music, comedy, poetry, cinema, arts & crafts, artisan trade stalls and Children’s Activities.
