We’re delighted to formally reveal Brehon Brewhouse as our lead partner for this year’s 12 Pubs Music Trail.
Like Carrickmacross Arts Festival, Brehon Brewhouse was founded in 2014 and has become a major player nationally in just three short years. Brehon’s attention to detail and ambition to bring a high quality exciting product to market makes them perfect partners for our 12 Pubs Music Trail this year. Both brands share similar values and both form an integral part of the northeast tourism sector.
Craft breweries are growing across Ireland, and this is reflected in the north-east where one of their number, Brehon Brewhouse, is making strides since being set up by Seamus McMahon in 2014.
In his own words, “Our small brewery is housed on the farm, just a short distance from the old homestead. We are set amongst the rolling drumlins of County Monaghan, just a few miles from the birthplace of Patrick Kavanagh, the inspiration for our India Pale Ale – Stony Grey IPA. Our aim is to create distinct beers that are brewed with care and affection. Our brewer has created a range of well balanced and flavoursome ales that reflect the changing face of the beer market in Ireland.”
Brehon Brewhouse’s exciting range will be available at this year’s 12 Pubs Music Trail, but if you can’t wait that long, they’ve got some fantastic gift packs available to make your Christmas extra special. These gift packs are available from most off-licenses in Carrickmacross. Alternatively , why not visit the brewery in person in Dunelty, Inniskeen, Carrickmacross, Monaghan.
